AG Fig Bars

This is the video that is posted on my YouTube account, Grayt Videos, on how to make fig bars for your 18" doll.

Below you can print the printables I made for this craft.

(You might notice that the raspberry printables have changed, I have put a better version on instead that I didn't have during this video.)

Here are the typed instructions for this craft as well:

The things you will need to make the fig bars are:
A pen or pencil
a ruler
scissors
Printables
Foamboard (3/16")
Brown construction paper
Glue stick
Craft paint or a marker
Chalk pastels (optional)

The things you will need to make the fig bar box are:
Thin, recycled cardboard (I used an actual fig bar box)
glue
A ruler
A pen or pencil
scissors or an x-acto knife(be careful when using!!!)

FIG BARS IN WRAPPER
The first thing I did is make the fig bars inside the wrapper. To start, cut your foam board into small rectangles. (about 1 1/2 by 3/4 cm)

Then, take your wrapper printable and cut it out and turn the design face-down. Fold into thirds, and glue the entire paper. Place the foamboard in the center, fold over one side, and fold over  We don't need to decorate these because we won't be seeing them.

Then, glue your first side of paper and glue it to the foam board, and repeat with the second side. Glue inbetween the end of the wrapper to seal it. Now you're done with those!

FIG BARS WITHOUT WRAPPER
To make the bars that are out of the packaging, take your foamboard, wrap and glue the long side all the way around with brown construction paper.

Next, paint or color the corresponding color of the bar on the exposed foam board. If you want to, you can gently brush some brown chalk pastels onto the paper to make it look more detailed. Let dry and you're finished!

FIG BAR BOX
To make the fig bar box, open up your box carefully and sketch the shape of the box onto the cardboard. I measured the real box in inches and used the same measurements in centimeters. Just make sure to get all the tabs!

Cut it out and cut between each tab carefully. Then, score lightly and fold the box. You should have something that looks like a box when folded. Glue the bottom and side tabs together and now your dolls have a box to put their fig bars in.

If you want, you can cut out the mini side label and glue that on to the box as well. If you don't have a label from a box, then you can use one of the wrapper printables and glue that on also.

EXTRA

Also, if you have a patterned picture on the box that you don't want to see, you can glue on construction paper over top so it looks better.

That's it! Thanks for looking at this! Make sure to check out my video in this post or on YouTube for a more detailed instruction. 😃
